Congratulations Brad & Simone
It seems that practice makes perfect as Brad and Simone have just had a little boy, Hayden, after a speedy 2.5hr labour!
He was born at 7:53pm and weighed in at 7lb 8oz.
Everyone is doing well up at the Mater and we look forward to meeting the little guy :-)
Who would have thought that Max would have a younger cousin so soon?!

He speaks!
Max said "Mum" this morning :-)
What a morning! Dee tells me hi did it yesterday but he has been mumbling something like that for quite some time so I didn't quite believe her!
However, there was no doubting it, he clearly said "Mum" quite a few times this morning. What a star :-) I even managed to get it on video after quite a few minutes of him trying to grab the video off me.
The funny thing is that everyone at work that I have told has said, "Gee, they usually say Dad first"!
Now I know that Dee spends the whole day saying "Mum Mum Mum Mum...".

Max: Stand Up and be Counted
Dee has just rung me to tell me that Max has managed to stand himself up in the cot whilst holding onto the side!
She put him down to sleep and left him for a while, doing circles in the cot (as he does). Things were quiet so she snuck in to see if he was asleep and there he was standing up, holding the cot rail facing the back wall!
When she said hello, he turned around and gave her a huge smile :-)
He is at such a wonderful age that I wish it will never end. So happy and it's amazing watch him playing with his toys and investigating new things.
The other day (Saturday) he worked out how to drink through a straw the first time we gave it to him. So smart!!
Chip off the old block I say :-)
